Mission Statement
Waverley Drug and Alcohol Centre is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation that works with and supports people who are struggling with alcohol and other drug issues.
Vision Statement
Waverley Drug and Alcohol Centre aims to support people with drug and/or alcohol issues in a safe and nurturing environment, with an emphasis on change towards a healthier future and a life worth living.
SMART Recovery Groups
The SMART Recovery Groups are run by the WDA Counsellors every Tuesday 12:00pm-1.30pm and every Friday 12.00pm-1.30pm – Level 1, Waverley Library (48 Denison Street, Bondi Junction). For these groups, there is no need to make an appointment - just drop in.
Due to COVID our meetings are on Zoom. Please go to SMART Recovery Australia and look up meetings in Bondi Junction. You can sign into the Friday group. The Tuesday group is a closed group. Please contact us directly should you wish to attand.
SMARTWALK Groups
SMARTWALK Groups are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10.00am. Meet at the steps of the kiosk in front of the fountain at Centennial Park (nearest gates are Paddington/Woollahra entrance at the corner of Oxford and Queen Streets). This is a social walk/talk for people who have AOD issues and/or depression. We walk around the park, which generally takes about an hour.

We offer confidential assessment, short-to-medium term professional counselling and referral services in a supportive environment to people whose main concern is related to alcohol and/or other drugs. Our services are by appointment only (see Contact page for more information). All of our counsellors have extensive experience in the drug and alcohol field.
